So, I attempted to return to the beach yesterday. Got all the way there and stayed for an hour before I got too restless and left- one of those "can't sit still" days. I went home and napped on the couch for 2 hours before Steve came over. I did manage to get a good tan except for my middle- front & back, which is nicely burned. ugh.
Steve was all set on seeing the fireworks in Philly so we hopped the train and went it. TONS of people there. We did a lot of walking and now I have a blister on my left foot so I gimp with both feet now. The fireworks were nice, the concert before them was not. I think it was the Eisley brothers. Very boring and I like oldies. We lay on a grassy knoll and watched the fireworks through the trees. I was bummed b/c I really wanted to meet the straight guy Steve turned gay but he was busy. Anyway, by the time we got home it was after midnight. Didn't get to bed until after 2. Now i'm at work and have been here since 7:30. It's rainy and miserable, and all I want to do is crawl back into bed. I'm sitting here with an ice pack strapped to my back to help with my sunburn. oy. This is going to be a cranky day, I can feel it. |

Sad how I can watch episode after episode of this show.....
Today I went to the beach for the first time all year. Meant to leave early and miss the beach traffic. ha. 2 hours of driving later, I'm 45 minutes away at OC. Went WAAAAY south to 40th, hobbled my way 1/4 down the sand and lay for 4 1/2hrs. I managed to burn my stomach, lightly burn/dark tan my face, and get a nice dark tan on my back. My chest is only lightly tanned (except for my cleavage which i managed to burn). This is the lamest tan i've ever had. I was debating whether to go back tomorrow but now i'll have to to even out. oy.
Chairman Meow is glaring at me. Probably b/c I tossed her off the computer desk 4 times. She's crazy. Wanted to play. She keeps trying to play with D, despite the fact that D growls and swipes at her. Apparently cats have no learning process..... |
